FORUM ON THE FUTURE OF THE MEDITERRANEAN ON OCCASION OF THE SPANISH PRESIDENCY OF THE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF THE UNION FOR THE MEDITERRANEAN
This global Conference stems from the commitment undertaken in the last Summit of Speakers in Rabat in the sense of hosting this parliamentary forum during the Spanish Presidency.
It shall be held at the town of Granada and it shall bring together the Speakers and Deputy Speakers of the Parliaments of all the Assembly’s member States to discuss, within four Working Tables, peace and stability in the Mediterranean, migration, climate change, youth employment and gender equality in the Mediterranean region.
It shall be attended by authorities at the highest level and the Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean shall be invited as well, to engage in active an cooperation with the executive branch of this organization, as well as representatives from other parliamentary assemblies such as those of the Council of Europe, the OSCE, NATO or the IPU.
